My name is Ric Jackson. I started MicroByte TekSolutions in 1998 to provide IT solutions to small businesses and residential users who can't justify having their own IT department.

An IT department is responsible for the on-going health of the computer systems under their control. This includes, but is not limited to: regular software updates from Microsoft, Adobe, Java, etc.; installation and configuration of a good anti virus product; installation and configuration of system cleaning tools; troubleshooting and repair of hardware and software problems; periodic hardware upgrades; and at times providing entire new custom built systems.

Computer Technology is one of those fields where it seems that almost anyone can do it, but only some do it really well. I think it is important for the consumer to know who is working on his or her system, and that the consumer believes the right person is doing the work.
